Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WritixAI (writixai.com) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect information you provide — such as your name and email address — and authentication details needed to operate your account. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic Google account information to create or access your WritixAI account.

Content you provide. We process the prompts, messages, and files you submit so the assistant can generate responses and perform the actions you request.

Google Account Data (Gmail & Google Drive)

If you choose to connect your Google account, you authorize WritixAI to access certain Google data on your behalf. We request the narrowest access needed for these features:

We do not request the ability to permanently delete your email. The “Trash” action moves messages to Gmail’s Trash, where Google keeps them recoverable for about 30 days.

The Gmail & Drive integration is currently available to a limited number of users while in beta.

How We Use Google Account Data

When you ask the assistant to do something involving your email or Drive, the relevant content is retrieved from Google, sent to our AI processing provider, OpenAI, solely to generate the response or prepare the action you requested, and returned to you in the assistant’s reply.

Actions are never automatic. The assistant can only propose changes — sending, archiving, labeling, or trashing messages. Each proposed action is shown to you and carried out only after you explicitly approve it. The AI model cannot send, delete, archive, or modify your mail on its own.

Data Retention

Email and Drive content is processed transiently to fulfill your request; we do not store the full body of your emails or files after your request is fulfilled. When you ask the assistant to organize mail, we temporarily store the affected message identifiers and their sender and subject lines so we can show the action for your approval — this is removed once the action is approved, rejected, or expires (within 24 hours). Access tokens are stored in encrypted form until you disconnect.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share Google account data only with OpenAI (our AI processing provider, which under its API terms does not use API-submitted data to train its models), with infrastructure providers bound by confidentiality, and where required by law.

Limited Use (Google API Services User Data Policy)

WritixAI’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google user data to provide the features you request; we do not transfer or sell it for advertising; we do not use it to serve ads; and we do not allow humans to read it except with your specific consent, for security or legal reasons, or in aggregated/anonymized form.

Security

Google access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using authenticated encryption, with the key stored separately from the database. All data in transit is protected with HTTPS/TLS, and access is restricted to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your Choices & Controls

You can disconnect your Google account from within WritixAI at any time, and revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us; on disconnection or deletion we delete the stored access tokens for your Google account.

Children’s Privacy

WritixAI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

International Users

WritixAI is operated from Bangladesh. If you access the Service from elsewhere, your information may be processed in Bangladesh and in the United States (where OpenAI processes API requests).
